AT SCHOOL
This is Mrs. Kipling’s eighteenth year of teaching and sixth year at Jeffers Elementary. Throughout her time teaching, she was a 6th grade classroom teacher at Spring Lake Intermediate School for 12 years and currently teaches K-4 and 6th grade S.T.E.M. Mrs. Kipling has a B.A. in Elementary Education with a major in Science and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.
AT HOME
Mrs. Kipling married her husband, Eric, 15 years ago. She and her husband have three beautiful children, Annie- 12 years, Maddux- 10 years and Chas- 7 years old. Mrs. Kipling's family is also hosting an exchange student, Chan, from South Korea. Chan is 17 years old. They live in Spring Lake and enjoy spending time at their family cottage, traveling, photography, baseball and going to music concerts.
IN THE S.T.E.M. ROOM
In the S.T.E.M. room, students will be doing projects with an emphasis on using design thinking skills and processes.
Students will collaborate with each other in small groups and partners, practice communication skills, tap into their creativity and foster their critical thinking skills. We will have fun and learn together! It's going to be an exciting year in the S.T.E.M. room!
